Thread has always been more than a tool for me—it’s a line that connects hands, time, and making. Long before I knew it, my own story was already stitched into this work. Generations back, my great-grandparents ran a small thread shop in Europe, a quiet legacy of trade, craft, and care that only revealed itself to me after I stepped into this world myself. What feels like coincidence now feels more like return.
Glide thread is at the heart of my practice. I’ve worked with it for over a decade in longarm quilting, trusting it across millions of stitches where consistency matters and beauty must endure. Its smooth, trilobal polyester structure delivers exceptional strength and colour clarity, with a luminous sheen that elevates both modern and traditional work. The thread runs clean and lint-free, allowing the machine—and the maker—to focus on rhythm, movement, and flow.
You’ll see Glide at work throughout my gallery: in customer quilts, charity pieces, and commissions I’ve been privileged to create. It’s an essential part of my own studio, and a versatile choice for quilting, thread painting, piecing, appliqué, hand stitching, and embroidery.
