Kaffe Fassett bright lights AU $330
175 cm x 200 cm | Cotton fabrics and cotton batting
Exhibited at the ‘Airing of the Quilts’
Braidwood, NSW 23-24 November 2019
It all started with just a few Kaffe Fassett fabrics, what to do… The equilateral triangles was a technique I haven’t tried before but looked fun and my stash of KF fabrics looked wonderful – so much colour. Friends were happy to contribute a piece here and there so this ended up to have a number of KF collections of fabric lines but it still works together. The bright diamonds light up the quilt with splashes of light. The quilting design was picked to compliment some of the ovals in the fabrics.
Vintage stars AU $280

The Hunter Star is a technique I would have never tried before but with the AccuQuilt cutting system it was so easy to cut and piece together. The vintage fabrics were just asking for something traditional, the cream background makes them pop and dance around the quilt. Pieced and quilted by me.

Burgundy Connect SOLD AU $450
Exhibited at the ‘Airing of the Quilts’

This quilt was started at a quilting retreat last year and it came back a year later to the same location to be completed. The year in between was full of new things. One of which was learning how to use digital designs to custom quilt. This is my first custom quilt using digital quilting and it was so much fun to make.
